How to be Successfull Farmer in this era

One day, there is a happy family who lived in a simple house together. There are parent and their two daughter, their daughter’s name is sinta and risa. Risa is an university student while sinta is in senior high school on third class. The story begin when sinta was come home after school.

Sinta : assalamu’alaikum

Dad : wa’alaikum salam

( shake hand )

Dad : how is your school?

Sinta : good like usual

Dad : i hear you will be on last exam in a short time. How is your prepare?

Sinta : alhamdulillah. I think i have to study hard . i have been borrow the biology book for test to enter a collage

Dad : don’t be focus on one lesson. You must to study all the lesson that will be test on the last exam

Sinta : yes dad, i know

( mom come )

Mom : whats wrong here?

Dad : no just a little discuss, mom invite sinta to have lunch, i will go to the field

( shake hand with mom )

Mom : come on sinta, i have cooking your favorite food

Sinta : yes mom

            Father come home from the field , after that father see sinta is study for biology in living room with her mom and her sister, risa.

Dad : what are you doing sinta?

Sinta : study my favorite lesson, biology

Risa : why you always study for biology? What the course do you want in collage?

Sinta : i want to enter in agriculture course. I want to be a farmer like dad and mom but with the other manner

Risa : what? Why should agriculture? Why not be a doctor? Sinta, you are smart you can be a doctor if you want

Mom : but to be a doctor need much money.

Risa : don’t worry mom, there are many schoolarship to be a doctor and i belive that sinta can do it.

Mom : but mom ever hear that cost for practical and lab work is very expensive, and your parent is just a farmer.

Risa : its ok mom, but sinta, our parent is a farmer and now with your smarted you want to be a farmer too? Look on the data of BPS in march 2012 63% dar 29,13 milion poor people in indonesia life in village and work as a farmer and based on census of agriculture in 2003 said that 80% from farmer in indonesia their study is just graduated from junior high school. So why you must enter in collage if you just want to be a farmer.

Sinta : but to be a farmer not always bad like your think and i will proof it.

Dad : i’m not agree with you sinta, i’m agree if you choose ecenomic course like your sister, because in economy there are so many opportunity to work.

Sinta : but i know what the best for me, whats the most jibe for me, please!

Dad : its up to you

            One day, sinta found a newspaper that talking about  successful farmer and have become an entrepreneur and she want to show it to her family in terrace.

Sinta : everybody look this newspaper not all of farmer is worst. Look he became a success person.

Mom : let me look

Risa : its up to you just don’t talk about this again

Sinta : my purpose to enter agriculture course in order to reseach a technology or method for a good planting and give many profit to me like him, he use hydroponic method to planting tomatoes and resulting about 450 million per month.

            When they are discussing about that suddenly there are two  university students come to give invitation for Shinta’s Family and their neighbor to coming in elucidation and the topic is How to be succesfull farmer.

Winda : Assalamulaikum

Shinta’s Family :  Waalaikumsalam

Ika       :  Is this Mr. Tommy Family?

Mom    : That’s Right. Can I help you ?

Winda : We are from Harvard University. We are coming here to invite your family for coming in our event with the topic is about How to be succesful farmer in this era. The event will be held next Sunday.

Mom    : yes, we will come. If we have spare time.

Ika       : I hope that you’ll have many spare time. So, you can come in our event.

Shinta  : Mom dad you must to come in this event. This event will explain to you about the advantages of modern agricultural in this era.

Dad     : I think i don’t have plan to do in next Sunday. So, I’ll come in this event. And I hope you all my family can join with me.

Winda : We will be very happy if you want to come in our event.  thank for your willingness and have a good night. See you !!!

D-day of the event is coming............

Winda : Assalamualaikum.  Excellency the head the chief off SUKAMAJU village mrs. Santi merlinda S.E M.E. honorable chief of committe of this event respectable all of the invitation

First of all lets pray and thank to our god Allah SWT who has been giving as some mercies and blessing so we can attend and gather in this place with good condition and happy situation.

Secondly, may peace and salutation always been given to our prophet Muhammad SAW who has guided as from the darkness to the brightness, from the stupidity to the cleverness, from the jahiliyah era to the islamic era namely islamic religion that we love. So by his guidance we are able to differented a good thing and the bad one, a wrong way to the right one in order to enter god paradise.

Let me introdunce ourself. My name’s Winda Irfa Riyanti and My friend is Rohmatus Sholikhah. We are from Agricultural Course of Harvard University.  Today we will explain to you about agricultural in this era.

Ika       : Agriculture is an activity of utilizing biological resources made by human to produce food, industrial raw materials, or energy source, and to manage its environment. Rice yield from 2013 to 2017 has increased.
based data on 2017 Rice yield is 81.5 million increased 15.1 percent.
based on the news I had read last night. indoensia has achieved self-sufficiency in rice, corn, onions, and peppers.

Risa     : In facts agriculture in our village isn’t  like that. Many farmers can’t feel welfare because the agriculture close relation with weather and plant disease. So, how the solution of that?

Winda     : If the weather we can use greenhouses it is one way to overcome the uncertainty of the weather. for the handling of plant diseases other than using chemical drugs as well as the government providing input support for farmers who fail to harvest.

Mom    : So, what is the Goverment regulation that give advantages for farmer ?

Ika          : Some policies from the government to support the agriculture sector are provision of seeds and input production assistance for farmers failing to harvest, providing agricultural insurance, expanding the use of technology. They are like transplanter, combine harvester, corn sheller, power thresser and drone. Beside that there is a plan from the government to replace fertilizer subsidies into direct subsidies through farmer cards. to make subsidies more appropriate.

Winda : Being a farmer isn’t always worst. So, many farmer in this era can survive and resulting many profit. And we can support purpose of the goverment to create our country become Rice self-supporting.

Ika       : As Agent of change we must try to change our life, try to be a modern farmer with a modern method so with that we can change our life, earn more profit do u never imagine that and bring this country to be a leading of agricultural country in the world.

Winda : Thank you for coming n supporting our event and thank for attention.  We hope that Audience can get benefit from this event and can to be succesfull farmer in this era.
